SureHands Wheelchair Lift
SureHands Lift System: Expanding Access, Independence, and Opportunity
At Canoe Creek Stables, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to experience the life-changing benefits of horses. Thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, along with the generosity of several individuals and local businesses, we have been able to add SureHands Lift Systems to our facility.
These specialized lift systems help individuals with limited mobility safely transfer from a wheelchair or mobility device to a horse, the Equicizer, or other adaptive equipment. By reducing physical barriers, the SureHands lifts make therapeutic riding more accessible, comfortable, and dignified for participants of all abilities.

Why This Matters
For many riders, mounting a horse can be one of the biggest obstacles to participation.
The SureHands Lift System helps:
Increase accessibility for individuals with physical disabilities
Promote greater independence and confidence
Provide a safe and secure transfer process
Reduce physical strain on riders, caregivers, and volunteers
Create additional opportunities for participation in therapeutic riding activities
